Christina Ellis, BSc(Hons) MCSP, MMACP, SRP
Christina qualified in 1983 from the Ulster University after completing a four year honours degree course. She then spent ten years working in the NHS at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital and the Luton and Dunstable Hospital. She gained a wide experience treating many conditions and working alongside some leading Orthopaedic consultants.
In 1990 Christina qualified as a member of the Manipulation Association of Chartered Physiotherapists after three years of postgraduate study, exams and research.
In 1995 she qualified as an expert witness and is competent in legal reporting and attending court with her patients.
In 2003 she qualified as a Pilates teacher and runs classes at Ampthill and Flitwick Physiotherapy Clinic.
She has a specialist interest in road traffic accident injuries, hand injuries, repetitive strain injury, ergonomics and Pilates.
She set up the Ampthill and Flitwick Physiotherapy Clinic in 1993 with Sally Olney and is involved in the day to day running of the practice. Christina is now a member of ACPOHE occupational and ergonomic association of chartered physiotherapists. She is qualified to carry out work place assessments for people working with computers.

Sally Olney, Grad Dip Phys, MCSP, SRP
Sally qualified in 1979 from the Middlesex Hospital, London. She worked in the NHS for fourteen years gaining experience in treating all musculoskeletal problems.
In 1993 she established Ampthill and Flitwick Physiotherapy Clinic with her partner Christina Ellis, at her home in Ampthill, moving to their current premises in Flitwick in 1999.
Sally has a special interest in women's health issues and has recently completed a post-partum course. She now runs specialist classes aimed at new mothers.
Sally also enjoys treating sports injuries and as a keen sportswomen herself she has an understanding of sports related problems and injuries. She has also qualified in Pilates training.

Kate Drake, MCSP, BABTT
Kate graduated in 1988 from Pinderfields College of Physiotherapy, Wakefield, West Yorkshire. She completed her post-graduate training at Pontefract General Infirmary and moved to Milton Keynes in 1990, in order to specialise in Paediatric Physiotherapy. From 1995 until 2005, Kate worked part-time through an agency in Bedford, Aylesbury, Luton and London Child Development Centres, whilst setting up her private practice. She also worked part-time, for two years, for Coventry University as a visiting tutor, supporting and examining physiotherapy students during their clinical placements.
Kate passed the “Certificate in Paediatric Physiotherapy” with a merit.
Kate is an accredited Bobath Therapist. She has attended the eight-week Bobath Course and two one-week refresher courses. This treatment approach, also known as Neurodevelopmental Therapy, is beneficial for children with neurological problems, especially cerebral palsy.
Kate has completed the Sensory Integration Therapy foundation course, which can assist children with dyspraxia and coordination difficulties. Sensory integration therapy focuses on the difficulties children have with organising the information they receive, and how it affects the movement they perform.
She has a special interest in biomechanics and the application of orthotics and has attended many courses on this subject, including the accredited Strathclyde University “AFOs for Children with Cerebral Palsy” course.

Jill Ruffell, MCSP
Jill qualified in 1975 at the University Hospital of Wales and joined Bedford General Hospital where she remained for 14 years.
Here she was the intensive care Physiotherapist who instigated the on call system in Bedford. She then had a family and continued to work in the post injury/operation rehabilitation unit.
This was followed by 6 years with the charity Action Research into Multiple Sclerosis, and running an independent home visiting physiotherapy service.
Jill returned to the NHS in 1994 as an outpatient Physiotherapist at the Luton and Dunstable Hospital, joining the team at Ampthill and Flitwick Physiotherapist Clinic in 1998.
Jill’s interests include Pilates, lumbar spine problems, muscle balance work and education in osteoporosis.

Sue Swaney, MCSP, MMACP
Sue qualified in 1987 from Oswestry and North Staffordshire school of Physiotherapy. She spent 10 years working in the NHS developing her skills within the musculoskeletal field. In 1992 she became a member of the Manipulative Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP). She then became involved in the education committee of the MACP and the supervision of MACP students on their practical placements.
In 1994 she worked on a specialist hand unit at the Lister Hospital developing her knowledge of many hand/wrist conditions.
In 1996 Sue went into private practice treating musculoskeletal problems. She specialises in the assessment and treatment of complex musculoskeletal pain.

Linda Allsop, Grad Dip Phys, MCSP,
SRP
Linda qualified in 1983 from the Middlesex Hospital in London. She joined the Physio department at the Luton and Dunstable Hospital and worked there for two years before getting married. Her husband's job took them to South Africa where she worked in a private clinic in Johannesburg for 13 months. On returning to the UK Linda rejoined the Physio department at the Luton and Dunstable Hospital and also worked in private practice as an aerobic instructor and physiotherapist for the Stopsley Striders running club. Along the way she studied orthopaedic medicine to fellowship level, worked in the community for the Multiple Sclerosis Society visiting patients in their homes and worked in a GP surgery in Luton for many years.
Linda remained in private practice in Luton for seventeen years attending over 100 post graduate courses until joining the team in Flitwick after moving to the area in 2003.
Linda is interested in all aspects of physiotherapy, but particularly neck pain, headaches and migraines. She continues to regularly attend physiotherapy courses.

Joanne Morris, BSc (Hons), MMACP
Joanne qualified from the University of Hertfordshire in 1998 and has worked for 12 years in the NHS specialising in musculoskeletal outpatients.
In 2003, Joanne gained an MSc in neuromusculoskeletal physiotherapy and became a member of the Manipulative Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP). She has also supervised MACP students on clinical placements.
For the past 6 years Joanne has worked as a clinical specialist physiotherapist at Bedford NHS Trust working with in the back pain service and musculosketal triage teams. Joanne treats a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions with an interest in the assessment and treatment of spinal conditions.
Catherine Raper, BSc (Hons), MSCP
Catherine qualified from the University of East Anglia in 2005 with honours in physiotherapy studies. Her career began working for the MK Dons football team, where she specialialised in the treatment of sports injuries before moving on to an NHS outpatient setting dealing with musculosketal disorders.
With a strong background in musculosketal and sports injuries under her belt she has undertaken additional postgraduate training in both acupuncture and pilates. These additional treatment skills complement and enhance the ability to deliver best practice to her patients here at the clinic.
